What is an apostille (Hague apostille)/legalisation?
An apostille is a supplementary authentication. While qualified translators attest to a certified translation with their stamp and signature that the content of the translation corresponds to the original document submitted, a supplementary authentication (apostille) represents a state confirmation that it actually involves a legally valid original document. In some cases, you might therefore require an apostille for a birth certificate, non-marriage certificate or a court decree (e.g. divorce decree). Unfortunately, Übersetzungsbüro 2000 cannot help you if you require an apostille for an original document! But we can assist you if you need an apostille for your certified translation.
